A two-day international roundtable meeting titled "India-Bangladesh Relations in Media" has concluded in Agartala, the capital of India's Tripura state.

Organized by the Tripura Journalists Union, the event was held on July 22 and 23.

The roundtable featured discussions on various media-related issues concerning SAARC countries. Representing Bangladesh at the event were Belal Hossain Bhuiyan, Managing Editor of Dainik Samachar, and Md. Abu Fattah, Editor of Saptahik Satya Samachar.

During the event, Agartala Press Club President Pranab Sarkar and General Secretary Ramakanta Dey welcomed the two visiting Bangladeshi journalists by presenting them with traditional floral stoles (Uttoriyo).

According to the organizers, the discussions focused heavily on bilateral relations between India and Bangladesh, with particular emphasis on social and cultural connectivity in border regions, the role of the media, information exchange, and enhancing mutual cooperation between Bangladesh and Tripura.

Speakers at the meeting noted that regular communication and the exchange of experiences between the media outlets of both nations will foster greater mutual understanding. They also expressed optimism that such initiatives will further strengthen regional cooperation and professional ties.
