
Islami Andolan Bangladesh holds mass procession in Rangpur

A mass procession and rally was held in Rangpur city on Thursday under the initiative of Islami Andolan Bangladesh Rangpur Metropolitan Branch.
On this occasion, a rally was organized at Rangpur Public Library ground on Thursday afternoon. This agenda was observed to demand necessary state reforms, implementation of the legal basis of the July Charter, visible trial of the genocide, ensuring a level playing field in the elections and ensuring the promotion of the proportional representation (PR) system in the next national elections.
The chief guest at the rally was Professor Ashraf Ali, Presidium Member of Islami Andolan Bangladesh. The main speaker was Mohammad Amiruzzaman Piyal, Secretary of the Rangpur Metropolitan Branch and the party's MP candidate for Rangpur-3 Sadar constituency. The special guests at the rally were Jamaat-e-Islami Rangpur Metropolitan Branch Ameer Maulana ATM Azam Khan, the party's MP candidate and advisor for Kurigram-3 Ulipur constituency, Dr. Professor Mohammad Akkas Ali Sarkar, the party's Rangpur District Branch President and the party's MP candidate for Rangpur-1 Gangachara - Sadar Partial constituency ATM Golam Mostafa Babu. The President of Islami Andolan Bangladesh Rangpur Metropolitan Branch Maulana Abdur Rahman Qashemi presided over the rally.
Later, a huge protest procession circled the main roads of the city.
