
Jatiya Muktijoddah Parishad demands formation of commission to identify fake freedom fighters

The chief guest, Engineer Moslem Uddin, central president of the Jatiya Muktijoddha Parishad, said, to build a nation free from domination, we need a country free of fake freedom fighters. He demanded the formation of a commission to identify fake freedom fighters, conduct tribunals, and impose exemplary punishment. He also called for laws to recover benefits obtained by such individuals and seize their properties in case of non-compliance.
He said these during his speech as the chief guest at an event organized by Lalmonirhat district branch of the Jatiya Muktijoddha Parishad on Tuesday at 3:00 PM at LGRD Auditorium in Lalmonirhat.
The event, chaired by freedom fighter Abu Musa, featured speeches by special guests including Abdul Wares, central vice-president of Jatiya Muktijoddha Parishad; Advocate Abu Taher, Amir of Lalmonirhat district Jamaat; Maulana Habibur Rahman, district Nayeb-e-Amir; Assistant Secretary Hafiz Shah Alam; and freedom fighters Golam Hossain, Samsur Rahman, Abdul Aziz, Ruhul Amin, Asaduzzaman Khandakar, Meheruzzaman, and Abu Taleb. Harun Ar Rashid, Jamaat-nominated parliamentary candidate for Lalmonirhat Sadar-3, and Niaz Ahmed Reza, a prominent businessman and leader of the business organization. The event included Islamic songs performed by the Tornado Artist Group of Lalmonirhat district were present.
The chief guest further questioned how Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, established in 1979, could have opposed the liberation war and called for unity in building an Islamic state without spreading false narratives.
