Meeting held in Faridpur to review grant applications for cultural figures, organisations

A meeting of the district committee was held on Wednesday in Faridpur to scrutinise and recommend applications for financial grants for cultural personalities and organisations for the 2026-27 fiscal year.
The session took place at 10:00 am at the conference room of the Faridpur District Collectorate (DC office).
Sohrab Hossain, Additional District Magistrate (ADM) of Faridpur, chaired the meeting.
Among those present were Partha Protim Mondal, Assistant Commissioner and Officer-in-Charge at the DC office; Sujit Kumar Saha, Cultural Officer of the District Shilpakala Academy; Mahbub Piyal, General Secretary of the Faridpur Press Club; former Cultural Officer Md. Alauddin; artist Sajedur Rahman Tata; alongside other members of the committee.
During the meeting, committee members evaluated the eligibility and contributions of the applying local artists, cultural workers, and voluntary cultural organisations before formulating their recommendations for government fund allocation.
