National Fisheries Week inaugurated at Baliadangi

A rally, fish fry release and discussion meeting were held at Baliadangi, Thakurgaon, on the occasion of the inauguration of the National Fisheries Week under the theme "Build a sanctuary, fill the country with native fish".
The meeting was held on Monday morning at the Upazila Parishad meeting room, organized by the Upazila Administration and Upazila Fisheries Department.
Upazila Executive Officer Mofizur Rahman spoke as the chief guest at the discussion meeting chaired by Upazila Fisheries Officer Shammi Akhtar.
Upazila Agriculture Officer Sajjad Hossain Sohel, Upazila Animal Resources Officer Mousumi Akter, Upazila Assistant Fisheries Officer Abul Kalam Azad, Upazila Social Service Officer Shariful Islam, Upazila Cooperative Officer Nazmul Huda and many others were present at the time.
At the end of the discussion, 3 successful fish farmers and fishermen were awarded honorary certificates.
