National Legal Aid Day celebrated in .Rangamati

A procession and discussion meeting have been organized in Rangamati on the occasion of National Legal Aid Day-2026 with the theme of Dispute Resolution at Government Expenses, Bangladesh First.
On Tuesday morning, the meeting organized by the District Legal Aid Committee at the Judge's Court Ground was presided over by Senior District and Sessions Judge and Chairman of the District Legal Aid Committee Md. Ahsan Tarek.
The discussion meeting was addressed by District Council Chairman Krishibid Kajal Talukder, Chief Judicial Magistrate Tofazzal Hossain, District and Sessions Judge of the District Women and Children Repression Tribunal Judge Mahbubur Rahman, District Police Superintendent Muhammad Abdur Rakib, Additional Deputy Commissioner Nishat Sharmin, District Bar Association President Adv. Mihir Chakma, BNP General Secretary Adv. Mamunur Rashid Mamun.
The speakers at the meeting said that legal aid is playing an important role in settling disputes among the general public through compromise at government expense. Everyone was urged to spread this service of legal aid at government expense to the remote areas of the district to serve the helpless people.
