National Revolution and Solidarity Day celebrated at GAU

Gazipur Agricultural University (GAU) celebrated National Revolution and Solidarity Day 2026 on Saturday at university's Old Auditorium with an essay competition and discussion meeting.
Chaired by Director of Student Welfare Prof. Dr. Mohammad Sharif Raihan, the event was attended by GAU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. GKM Mostafizur Rahman as chief guest, alongside Treasurer Prof. Dr. Md. Safiul Islam Afrad, senior administration, faculty, and students.
Addressing the gathering, VC Prof. Dr. GKM Mostafizur Rahman highlighted November 7 as a crucial chapter in safeguarding Bangladesh's independence and sovereignty. He recalled the national contributions of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and late leader Begum Khaleda Zia, noting that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is carrying forward their vision through agricultural and national development programs, including canal excavation, tree plantation, and Farmer Cards.
