
Nine members of inter-dist robber gang arrested in Narail, 7 motorcycles seized

Nine members of an inter-district robbery gang have been arrested by Lohagara Police from Alamunsi Mor in Lohagara Municipality, Narail. The police also recovered seven motorcycles used by the gang.
According to Narail district correspondent Ujjwal Roy, based on secret information, a special operation was conducted around 2:00 AM on Saturday.
The operation was led by OC of Lohagara Police Station Md. Shariful Islam, with SI Abul Kalam Azad and ASI Abul Hossain as part of the police team. The arrested individuals and the seized motorcycles were brought to Lohagara Police Station.
The arrested gang members are: Tonu Molya, son of Asad Molya of Itna village, Itna Union, Kazi Amit, son of Kazi Didarul Alam of Pangkharchar village, Shamim Reza, son of Md. Shahidul Islam of Mukundapur village, Jhikargacha, Jashore, Md. Shawon Rahman, son of late Ziaur Rahman of Kulla village, Md. Hafizur Rahman, son of Md. Moslem Ali of Sonapur village, Md. Alamin Hossain, son of Md. Firoz Hossain of Tarail village, Kashiani, Gopalganj, Mokhles Sheikh, son of Kala Mia Sheikh of the same village, Md. Masud Rana, son of Oliar Rahman of Ghoppora village, Kaliganj, Jhenaidah and Md. Ejaz Ahmed, son of Abdul Malek of the same village.
A case (No. 2, dated August 2, 2025) has been filed at Lohagara Police Station under Penal Code sections 399 and 402. All the arrested individuals have been sent to court.
Lohagara Police Station OC Md. Shariful Islam said, the gang was arrested while preparing to commit a robbery. Legal procedures have been followed, and the accused have been presented before the court.
