
Prayer held for July Uprising Martyr Imam Hasan Tayem in Chandina

A memorial and prayer ceremony was held in Chandina, Cumilla, on the first martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hasan Tayem, who was martyred during the July mass uprising.
The event took place on Sunday morning at the Chandina Upazila Parishad auditorium, organized by the Upazila Administration and the Chandina municipal unit of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
Following the discussion, floral tributes were paid at Martyr Tayem's grave, and tree saplings were planted in his memory.
The event was presided over by Chandina Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Ashraful Haque. Among the speakers were Chandina Assistant Commissioner (Land) Faisal Al Noor.
The ceremony was conducted by Ishtiaq Ahmed Ifti, member secretary of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement's Chandina municipal unit. Other speakers included SI Imam Hossain of Chandina Police Station; Executive Member of the July Martyrs’ Memorial Foundation and brother of Imam Hasan Tayem, Rabiul Awal Tuhin; Chandina unit convener of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, Md. Rabbi; Executive Members of Students’ Alliance of Chandina—Faisal Ahmed, Md. Rahat, Hafiz Mahbub, and Omar Faruq.
Among other attendees were Upazila Secondary Education Officer Iqbal Hasan and Upazila Rural Development Officer Abu Zafar.
