Rangamati District Police organizes anti-drug rally

It is not possible for the police alone to eradicate drugs from the society. To build a terror and drug-free society, everyone from all walks of life must come forward. Chittagong Range DIG Abdul Quddus Chowdhury appealed to provide information about drug dealers and users.
He said these in his speech as the main discussant at the anti-drug rally organized by the Rangamati District Police on Monday morning at the theme of "Prevent drugs, protect the youth".
Earlier, a colourful procession was taken out from the city's Ministerial Club. After parading the main road, the procession converged at the Shah Bahumukhi High School auditorium for a rally.
Rangamati District Superintendent of Police Md. Abdur Rakib presided over the rally, and Rangamati 299th constituency member of parliament Dipen Dewan MP was present as the chief guest.
Rangamati Sadar Zone Commander Lt. Colonel Ekramul Rahat, Rangamati Additional District Magistrate Nishat Sharmin, Community Police Rangamati President Advocate Mamunur Rashid, among others.
Speaking as the chief guest at the rally, Dipen Dewan MP said that law enforcement agencies, families, educational institutions and people from all walks of life must work together to prevent the spread of drugs in the society.
