Rape allegation against teacher in Kotalipara

A serious allegation of rape has been raised against Abu Hanif Molla, a teacher at Neseruddin Talukder High School, for allegedly raping an eighth-grade madrasa student under the pretext of private tutoring. The victim’s father has filed a case at Kotalipara Police Station regarding the incident.
The incident occurred on Monday morning at Uttarpara Government Primary School in Kotalipara Upazila, Gopalganj. According to the case details, the student had been attending private tutoring sessions at Abu Hanif Molla’s (45) residence for the past three months. On the day of the incident, the teacher instructed the student to come to the nearby primary school instead of his home for the tutoring session.

When the student arrived at 7:00 AM as instructed, the teacher allegedly took her to a room in the school and forcibly raped her. Hearing the girl’s screams, local residents rushed to the scene, but the accused teacher fled.
The accused, Abu Hanif Molla, is a resident of Uttar Gachapara village in Kotalipara Upazila, son of the late Hamed Molla, and a father of two children.
The victim’s father told journalists, “I demand exemplary justice for this incident.”
Efforts to contact Abu Hanif Molla at Neseruddin Talukder High School were unsuccessful, and his mobile phone was found to be switched off.
Kotalipara Police Station OC Abul Kalam Azad confirmed that a case has been filed in connection with the incident. The victim has been sent to Gopalganj 250-Bed General Hospital for a medical examination, and legal action will be taken based on the investigation.
Upazila Secondary Education Officer Md. Ismail Hossain stated, “I am aware of the matter. The teacher has been temporarily suspended, and legal action will be taken against him.”
