Recruitment fraud, embezzlement of state fund : Nazirpur Shaheed Zia College ruled by 3 fake teachers for 10 years

A sensational fraud has come to light in which three so-called teachers, Ratan Mondal, Palash Saha and Anup Halder, have been getting regular salaries and allowances from the government treasury for 10 years after getting their appointments through fraud.

District Awami League president, former member of parliament from Pirojpur-1 constituency and then college president AKM Awal.
It is alleged that he fakely appointed these three in exchange for a large bribe and changed the previous name 'Shaheed Zia College' to 'Nazirpur College' by using political influence. This influential leader has been in hiding since the change in the context of August 5.
The name and signature of Professor Abdul Jalil Akon of Government Suhrawardy College was shown as the representative (DG nominee) of the Director General of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education (DSE). However, Professor Jalil Akon completely denied the matter and said that the signature and seal of the document were not his. The entire DSE was fake and they forged the seal and signature through forgery. Similarly, evidence of the use of fake seal and signature of subject expert Dr. Shafiqul Islam was found.
Sensational information has also been found regarding the administrative positions of the college. Although the fraudulent documents show Narayan Chandra Halder as the member secretary and acting principal of the college at the time of the incident, current and former teachers claim that Narayan Chandra was never the acting principal of the institution.
When contacted on Narayan Chandra's mobile phone to inquire about this, he said he was 'busy' and hung up. In addition, the current president of the college, Md. Mizanur Rahman Babu, was contacted about the incident, but he refused to comment.
When confronted about the fraud, the accused teachers first expressed anger and threatened them. When asked to see the valid documents of their appointment, they failed to show them. Accused Anup Halder initially claimed to have the documents but later denied it.
Later, Anup Halder offered to settle the matter by stuffing money into the journalist's pocket to cover up the incident.

An investigation committee was formed after the news was published in many media outlets, but it is reported that it was later covered up due to influence.
According to college sources, the investigation committee formed earlier to investigate the appointment had submitted a partial report due to unknown reasons. A member of the committee, who did not want to be named, said that there were serious irregularities in the appointment and if proven, the appointment would be cancelled and the salary and allowances received would have to be returned. At the same time, another member of the investigation committee, lecturer Mashiur Rahman, clearly stated that NTRCA had no involvement in this controversial appointment.
Supreme Court lawyer Barrister Moshiur Kabir said that if the crime of using a forged signature or seal on a government appointment document is proven, there is a provision of 7 years imprisonment under the existing law. At the same time, there is a legal obligation to return all the illegally withdrawn money to the state treasury.
Pirojpur District Education Officer Idris Ali Azizi said that strict action will be taken according to the rules after investigating the written complaint.
