Sadar Model Police Station crowned champions in community police Kabaddi final in Chapainawabganj
The final of the Community Police Kabaddi Championship 2026, organized for the first time in Chapainawabganj with the slogan “Engagement in sports, social harmony and a crime-free environment,” was held in the district.
In an exciting final, Chapainawabganj Sadar Model Police Station defeated Nachole Police Station by 56–28 points to become champions. Nachole Police Station finished as runners-up.
The final match was held at 3:30 pm on Sunday at the Chapainawabganj District (Old) Stadium, creating a festive atmosphere among spectators. The match remained highly competitive from the beginning, with both teams launching repeated attacks and counter-attacks. Sadar Model Police Station ultimately secured a convincing victory by a wide margin.
The two-day competition was organized by the Chapainawabganj District Police. Md. Ashik Saeed, DIG of Rajshahi Range Police, attended the closing and prize-giving ceremony as the chief guest. The event was presided over by Goutam Kumar Biswas, Superintendent of Police, Chapainawabganj.
Among those present were Abu Saleh Md. Musa Jangi, Deputy Commissioner of Chapainawabganj; Professor Dr. Biplab Kumar Majumder, Principal of Chapainawabganj Government Women's College; ANM Wasim Firoz, Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration and Finance); Md. Ekramul Haque, Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Operations); Yasir Arafat, Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle); Golam Zakaria, Convener of Chapainawabganj District BNP; Md. Ekramul Hossain, OC of Sadar Model Police Station; Md. Matiur Rahman, OC of Shibganj Police Station; Md. Nure Alam, OC of Gomastapur Police Station; Md. Abdul Barik, Officer-in-Charge of Bholahat Police Station; and Sukomal Chandra Debnath, OC of Nachole Police Station. Officials from different levels of the district police, players, and spectators were also present.
