On the night of Friday (November 14) , the local Tauhidi mob destroyed the platform by building a Namkawaste park on the grave site at a place called Jaliapara CO Tila in Bagachtar Union of Longadu Upazila of Rangamati and started an indecent activity.
The very next day Saturday at 11 am, the Imam Association of Longadu Upazila and the local Tawhidi Janata together held an emergency press conference against the central leader of the former Sramik League Abul Kalam, the owner of the park. In the press conference, they gave an ultimatum to close down the park within 24 hours and arrest the owner of the park, Abul Kalam, for desecrating the grave site and conducting indecent activities in the name of the park.
Following that, the local administration asked to close the park immediately to keep the law and order situation normal. and began to investigate. He also directed the park owner to reopen the park with the permission of the Deputy Commissioner.
After this, the owner of the park filed a complaint with the chief counsel, mentioning the names of various local people, showing damages of 50 lakh rupees. Which has not been resolved.
After some time on December 28, 2025 Longadu Upazila Nirbahi Officer Jahangir Hossain complained along with the chief advisor that UNO demanded a contribution of 30 lakh rupees from him to inaugurate the park. He has heard that it is not for him.
To know the fact of such allegations, I called his mobile phone number 018836**520 several times, but the number was closed. As a result, it was not possible to meet Abul Kalam.
In this regard, Maulana Aminur Rashid, President of Longadu Upazila Imam Samiti said, "In the face of our protest, the owner of the park had a meeting with our cleric Ulama and said that he will not open the park again." If this type of activity is started again, the local Tawhidi Janata movement will be formed. He said, even if it is opened, it will be a cottage.
General Secretary of Upazila Imam Association Hafez Abdul Matin said,We Islam-loving Tawheed people will always fight against injustice. If Abul Kalam again commits indecent activities, the public will give him a severe response. On the other hand, people will not accept such unnecessary accusations against UNO. Condemn a competent and humane UNO in such a manner.
UNO Jahangir Hossain said that the complaint raised by the above person is completely false. But he himself tried to build a park on government private land and came to me to register his land. He falsely accuses me of not having the authority to record the place. The place also has grave sites which locals complain about.
