State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj has stated that Bangladesh is working to ensure quality, inclusive, and future-oriented primary education for every child, emphasizing that the main target has shifted from mere school attendance to guaranteeing actual classroom learning and future skills.

The State Minister made these remarks while participating in a high-level conference organized by the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) titled "Multiply Possibility: A New Era for Education Financing" held at the ECOSOC Chamber of the United Nations Headquarters in New York on Wednesday.

 The event was held on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the 81st  UNGA  jointly organized by the Permanent Missions of Italy and Nigeria to the UN and the GPE.

Bobby Hajjaj noted that international partnerships are crucial to achieving these educational goals, expressing expectations for expanded financial and technical assistance from the GPE—a long-standing partner in Bangladesh's education sector—for ongoing educational reforms and new initiatives.

On the sidelines of the conference on Wednesday, State Minister Bobby Hajjaj held a bilateral meeting with GPE Deputy Chief Executive Officer Charles North to discuss strengthening cooperation in improving the quality of primary education and systemic reforms in Bangladesh. During the meeting, Hajjaj urged the GPE to expand its financial and technical support, highlighting government initiatives aimed at enhancing education quality, teacher development, technology-driven monitoring, and learning outcomes.

GPE Deputy CEO Charles North commended Bangladesh's primary education priorities and ongoing initiatives, offering positive assurances regarding continued and expanded support for Bangladesh's education sector.

State Minister Bobby Hajjaj extended an invitation to GPE CEO Laura Frigenti and Deputy CEO Charles North to visit Bangladesh to review primary education priorities, ongoing reform programs, and future areas of cooperation on the ground.
