Tourist Spot Shimul Bagan: Drug dealer arrested with marijuana shipment

A drug dealer named Helal Mia has been arrested with a shipment of marijuana at the tourist spot Shimul Bagan in Tahirpur, Sunamganj, by Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on Tuesday evening.
A patrol team of BGB’s Sunamganj-28 Battalion under Sylhet Sector from the Laurgarh BOP of Tahirpur arrested him with two and three-quarter kilograms of ganja.
The arrestee, Helal, is the son of Lahur Mia from Shimultola village under Uttar Bardal Union of Tahirpur.
Confirming the incident, Lieutenant Colonel A.K.M. Zakaria Kadir, commander of BGB’s Sunamganj-28 Battalion, said that Helal was arrested by a patrol team of Laurgarh BOP of the battalion while returning with a shipment of ganja from India through the Jadukata-Maharam border river near the tourist spot Manigaon Shimul Bagan.
