
SI Abul Kalam Azad recognized as best investigator for solving clueless robbery case in Munshiganj

The resourceful team of the District Detective Branch (DB) in Munshiganj has achieved unprecedented success by unraveling the mystery of a clueless robbery case that occurred in May 2025 in Munshiganj district, swiftly arresting members of the robber gang, and recovering the looted goods. In recognition of this success, SI Abul Kalam Azad of the DB has been honored with a crest as Munshiganj district's Best Investigator of Clueless Cases.
The honour was presented by District Superintendent of Police, Muhammad Shamsul Alam Sarkar, at the monthly welfare meeting held on Tuesday at 10 AM in the Shaheed Constable Borhanuddin Khan Auditorium at Munshiganj Police Lines. Also present at the event were Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime & Ops) Md. Feroz Kabir and other police officials.
It's worth noting that despite the absence of any specific leads in the robbery cases that occurred in Sreenagar Police Station and Padma Bridge North Police Station, the investigative team led by SI Abul Kalam Azad solved the cases with professionalism, patience, and the aid of modern technology. The members of the robber gang were identified and brought before the court, and the looted goods were recovered.
District Superintendent of Police Muhammad Shamsul Alam Sarkar, Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime & Ops) Md. Feroz Kabir, and Officer-in-Charge of the District Detective Branch Md. Ishtiaq Ahmed Russel provided overall guidance and assistance in this operation.
Upon receiving the honor, SI Abul Kalam Azad stated, "This award is the result of our detective team's collective effort. Recognition inspires us and further enhances our sense of responsibility."
