Twins born without cesarean section at Maun General Hospital
Nilphamari Correspondent
Twins were born naturally without cesarean section at Maun General Hospital in the district headquarters. Every month, babies are born naturally without a cesarean section at the hospital.
On the one hand, this saves the relatives of the pregnant women who come here, and on the other hand, the health of the pregnant mother is protected. Khadija, the wife of farmer Roni Ahmed of Kashiram Hazarihat village in Saidpur upazila, was admitted to the Maun General Hospital on July 30 when she started having labor pains.
On that evening, Khadija gave birth to twin boys naturally without a cesarean section. The twins were born under the overall supervision of Dr. Nighat Parveen, a gynecologist, obstetrician and infertility doctor and surgeon. Both the mother and the baby are currently healthy.
Roni Ahmed, the father of the twins, said that we know that whenever we take them to a private hospital or a private clinic, they ask us to perform a cesarean section without doing anything right. If they can perform a cesarean section, it will be their profit. They only see profit and do not consider the financial condition of the mother. But Maun General Hospital is an exception. They could have performed a cesarean section on my wife if they wanted. Instead of doing that, they performed a normal delivery with the round-the-clock observation and assistance of a gynecologist. This has benefited a poor person like me a lot. With the money that would have been spent on a cesarean section, I can now feed my wife good food. I pray to Allah for the hospital authorities.
After researching, it was found that 7 to 8 normal deliveries or natural births take place every month in the hospital. The poor people who come here have benefited from this. Patients and relatives of the patients are also very happy with the quality of the hospital's service.
Dr. Nighat Parveen, a gynecologist and surgeon, said that when a pregnant mother comes to me, I examine her and if everything is fine with the mother and the baby, I advise her to give birth naturally (normal delivery). Many poor people benefit from this. In addition, the health of the mother-to-be remains good.
Mahfuzar Rahman Shah, Managing Director of Maun General Hospital, said that we have come to this profession with a service mentality. We try to give normal deliveries to pregnant mothers. We only do those things that will harm the mother if we do not perform a cesarean section. He said that it should not be desirable for anyone to put people in danger and waste money in a systematic way.
