Unknown person’s body recovered in Kishoreganj

Police recovered the body of an unknown person from a bamboo thicket beside the Joldhaka–Paglapir highway in Vhelarpaara village under Barbhita Union, Kishoreganj Upazila, Nilphamari. The body was recovered on Monday afternoon.
Police and eyewitnesses said that on Monday afternoon, a woman from Vhelarpaara village went to cut grass and saw the body in the bamboo thicket. She informed the local residents, who then notified the police. The police subsequently recovered the body.
The identity of the deceased has not been established. The approximate age of the body is 50 to 55 years. The deceased is a Muslim and was wearing a half-shirt and lungi. Police recovered BDT 49,750 from the lungi’s fold.
OC of Kishoreganj Police Station Ashraful Islam said, the cause of death and identity have not been determined. Efforts are ongoing to identify the person.
