Week-long youth self-reliance training ends with certificate distribution at Betagi

A certificate and honorarium distribution ceremony marked the end of a week-long training program aimed at promoting self-reliance among youth in Betagi, Barguna.
The closing ceremony of the non-formal week-long training, organized by Tarun Kalyan Jubo Parishad and supported by the Department of Youth Development, was held on Tuesday at 4 PM at Betagi Darul Islam Women’s Alim Madrasa.
The event was presided over by organization’s president and National Youth Council member Oli Ahmed. Among others present were Upazila Assistant Youth Development Officer Md. Mamun-or-Rashid, General Secretary of Tarun Kalyan Jubo Parishad Adnan Shahriar Rana, and journalist Md. Arifur Rahman Sujon.
A total of 30 local young men and women participated in the 6-day training on goat rearing. The Department of Youth Development encouraged participants to become self-reliant by creating employment opportunities through easy-term loans, aiming to reduce the burden of unemployment and inspire entrepreneurship.
