Woman held captive, raped , two arrested in Hili

A woman was allegedly gang-raped after being held captive in a house for several days in Dinajpur's Hakimpur while demanding money owed to her. Police have arrested two accused in a case filed by the victim's mother in this incident.
Badsha Alam, OC of Hakimpur Police Station, confirmed the matter on Sunday (October 4) afternoon.
Earlier this morning, the victim's mother filed a case with Hakimpur Police Station.
The complaint further states that when the plaintiff's daughter went to ask for money owed to her, she was detained at the house of Mohammad Ruhul Amin alias Rimon in Palpara area of Ward No. 6 of Hakimpur Municipality from September 30 to October 3. During that time, Ruhul Amin alias Rimon, Shukur Ali (55) and Ferdous Mia (50) raped the young woman against her will. During this time, the accused recorded a video on their mobile phone and threatened to spread it on social media.
On Saturday midnight, local people went to the house and arrested the two accused after learning about the incident. After receiving the information, the national emergency service 999 was called, and Hakimpur police station went to the spot and took the two into custody. At the same time, the victim girl was also rescued.
A case of gang rape has been registered at Hakimpur Police Station based on the complaint of the victim's mother. After the case, Mohammad Ruhul Amin alias Rimon and Md. Shukur Ali were arrested by the police and handed over to the court. The other accused, Ferdous Mia, is absconding.
Hakimpur Police Station OCBadsha Alam said, "A case has been registered in this incident. The case is under investigation. Efforts are underway to arrest the absconding accused."
