Youth arrested with arms, ammunition in Narsingdi

Police arrested a youth named Sagir Ahmed (22) with arms and ammunition from the Bilasdi area of Narsingdi municipality. The arrest was made on Tuesday at around 12:30 pm.
Sagir Ahmed, the arrested individual, is the son of Habibullah from Baluakandi village in Amirganj Union of Raipura Upazila, Narsingdi district.
According to police, based on information about arms trading in the Bilasdi area, a raid was conducted, and Sagir was arrested as a suspect. During the operation, one single-shot gun, one round of live ammunition, and one switchgear knife were seized from his possession.
OC of Narsingdi Model Police Station, Md. Emdadul Haque said, preparations are underway to file a case against Sagir under the Arms Act.
