
Senior Secretary of Public Administration Div visits N'ganj

Dr. Md. Mokhlesur Rahman, Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, visited Narayanganj district on Friday (June 20). He was accompanied by Md. Erfanul Haque, Additional Secretary of the APD Division.
During the visit, the district administration informed the Senior Secretary that, under the “Green and Clean Narayanganj” initiative, various species of flowers and trees are being planted to enhance the beauty of the city.
The Senior Secretary was formally given a guard of honor. He attended a cordial exchange meeting with members of the Bangladesh Administrative Service Association, Narayanganj District Branch, at the Circuit House Auditorium. The meeting included discussions on the district administration's development activities, service quality improvement, and future plans.
Throughout the day-long program, the Senior Secretary highly praised the efforts of the district administration in terms of overall progress, environmental conservation, and enhancement of citizen services. He encouraged everyone involved to continue this trend in the future.
As part of the visit, the Senior Secretary also toured the historic and cultural landmark Hajiganj Fort in Narayanganj. There, he planted a coconut tree sapling as part of the environmental conservation and beautification efforts. Later, he planted a Pink Trumpet Tree sapling on the road median of the Narayanganj-Chashara Link Road, one of the city’s main roads.
At the Circuit House, Narayanganj Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Zahidul Islam Miah welcomed the guests with floral greetings and congratulations. Also present at the event were Narayanganj Superintendent of Police Pratyush Kumar Majumder, and officials and staff from various levels of the local administration.
