Under the overall guidance of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Rajshahi Sector, and at the initiative of the Mahananda Battalion (59 BGB), a one-month-long training program on Electrical and House Wiring has officially begun.

The training began on Wednesday  at the Border Digital Skill Center in Bholahat Upazila of Chapainawabganj. A total of 25 young people are participating in the training program.

The trainees will receive both theoretical and practical training on safe electrical connections in multi-story buildings and residential houses, troubleshooting electrical faults, and the safe installation and setup of electrical and electronic equipment.

Prior to the commencement of the training, Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Tajul Islam Chowdhury, SGP, BFM, PSC, Commander of Mahananda Battalion (59 BGB), said that the main objective of the initiative is to transform young people in border areas into skilled human resources, create opportunities for self-employment, and keep them away from smuggling and other criminal activities.

He said that BGB will continue such public welfare programs in the future to promote humanitarian welfare and the socio-economic development of people living in border areas.

BGB expects the training program to play a positive role in creating employment opportunities for young people in border areas, improving their living standards, and preventing smuggling.

The training is being held at Alalpur Darus Sunnat Dakhil Madrasa in Bholahat. Two skilled and experienced instructors from the Electrical Department of Chapainawabganj Government Technical School and College are regularly conducting classes as part of the training program.

Local representatives, distinguished community members, instructors, and senior BGB officials were present at the event.
