Chittagong DC pssses busy day in Mirsarai

Chittagong Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Zahidul Islam Miah spent a busy day in Mirsarai Upazila by organizing various programs.
On Thursday morning, he visited various places in the upazila. After visiting Mirsarai Police Station, Mirsarai Sadar Union, Mirsarai Municipality and the Upazila Land Office in the morning, he distributed wheelchairs among the disabled in the upazila premises at 3 pm.
Then at 3:30 pm, the Deputy Commissioner participated in a meeting with government officials in the Upazila Conference Room.
At the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Zahidul Islam Miah said that the main responsibility of government officials is to serve the people. Neglecting to perform their duties can lead to public anger. He further said, “We are impartial. Many did not think that government officials could conduct impartial elections. But we have shown that. Serving the people is your main responsibility. Work while you have time, otherwise you will regret it later.”
He urged the officials to accept the challenge and said, “Historical chapters like 52, 71 and 24 have been created with the challenge.”
The meeting was presided over by Mirsarai Upazila Executive Officer Somaiya Akhter and was attended by Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Alauddin Quader, Mirsarai Police Station Officer-in-Charge Farida Yasmin, Livestock Officer Dr. Zakirul Farid, Agriculture Officer Pratap Chandra Roy, Fisheries Officer Arifur Rahman, Social Service Officer Sabrina Rahman Lina, Project Implementation Officer Md. Ismail, Primary Education Officer AKM Fazlul Haque, Election Officer Humayun Kabir, Youth Development Officer Shah Alam, Mirsarai Coastal Range Officer Shahenshah Nowshad and officials from various departments of the upazila.
