Coast Guard holds first aid, fire safety awareness sessions in Ctg, Barguna

The Bangladesh Coast Guard conducted public awareness programs on first aid in Chattogram and fire safety in Barguna on Sunday, as part of its ongoing social initiatives alongside maritime law enforcement.
Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Sabbir Alam Sujan disclosed the details in a press release on Sunday evening.
A seminar on first aid was held at the multipurpose hall of Coast Guard Base Chattogram from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Teachers and students from Aiyub Bibi City Corporation School and College participated in the event.
Simultaneously, Coast Guard Station Patharghata and Patharghata Fire Service jointly organized an awareness discussion on fire extinguishing and fire safety in Patharghata, Barguna, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
The session provided instructions on potential fire causes, basic firefighting techniques, and public responsibilities in preventing fires. Students from K.M. Model Government High School and local residents attended the discussion.
The Coast Guard reaffirmed that it will continue conducting such public service activities to build awareness in coastal and riverine regions across the country, the press release added.
