DG of Health visits site for setting up govt medical college in Narsingdi

A possible site for the construction of infrastructure for the establishment of a government medical college in Narsingdi has been inspected.
Director General of the Department of Health Dr. Md. Nazmul Hossain inspected the site for the medical college next to Narsingdi District Hospital on Friday morning.
During the inspection, Additional Secretary (Health and Education) of the Ministry of Health Noor-e-Alam Siddiqui, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Narsingdi Mahmuda Begum, Civil Surgeon of Narsingdi Dr. Bulbul Kabir, Superintendent of the District Hospital Mizanur Rahman and other officials of the Health Department were present.
After the inspection, Dr. Nazmul Hossain said that the government has recently issued a notification to establish a new government medical college in Narsingdi, and this inspection was conducted today to select the initial site and verify the feasibility for the speedy implementation of this project. He expressed hope that the academic activities of the new medical college and the educational activities of the students will be much easier due to its proximity to the district hospital.
It is worth noting that on June 14, a notification was issued by the Health Education and Family Welfare Division of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, formally approving the establishment of Narsingdi Medical College.
