On the first anniversary of the July-August Mass Uprising, as part of a month-long program, an event including a discussion meeting, documentary screening on the July-August Mass Uprising, and a cultural program was held on Thursday afternoon at Shaheed Dr. Abul Kashem Moydan field in Joypurhat, organized by the district Jamaat.
The event was conducted by district Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary Hasibul Alam Liton, while the meeting was presided over by district Jamaat Ameer and Jamaat-nominated MP candidate of Joypurhat-1 constituency, Fazlur Rahman Saeed.
Among others who spoke at the event were: District Jamaat Secretary Golam Kibria Mondol, Assistant Secretary Adv. Mamunur Rashid, City Unit Ameer Mawlana Anwar Hossain, Sadar Upazila Jamaat Ameer Mawlana Muhammad Imran Hossain, President of Ideal Teachers’ Federation and Assistant Professor Mostafizur Rahman, President of District Ulama Mashaek Mawlana Mahmudul Hasan, District President of Islami Chhatra Shibir Tarek Hossain, City Jamaat Nayebe Ameer Mawlana Abdur Rahim, Former Student Leader Ferdous Hossain, Sadar Upazila Jamaat Nayebe Ameer Mawlana Saidur Rahman, Kalai Upazila Jamaat Secretary Abdul Alim, Sadar Upazila Nayebe Ameer Shah Alam, City Jamaat Secretary Mawlana Mizanur Rahman, District Vice President of Labor Welfare Federation Shahidul Islam Patwari, Jamaat Leader Adv. Abdul Momen Fakir, and others.
In his presidential speech, the district Ameer said that there is no alternative to Islamic culture in building a corruption and extortion-free, beautiful society. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is working to achieve that goal. He called upon everyone to come forward to make this mission successful.
After the discussion meeting, a documentary on the July-August Mass Uprising was screened and a captivating cultural performance was presented by the artists of the Udbhabon Literary and Cultural Society.
