Drug dealer Rabia arrested with 105 pieces of Yaba in Muksudpur

Rabia Akter (32), a drug dealer from Goptargati village in Khandarpara Union, Muksudpur Upazila, Gopalganj, was arrested with 105 yaba tablets by the police.
According to police sources, Rabia Akter, wife of Mehedi Shikdar from Goptargati village, has been involved in drug trafficking in the area for a long time. Based on confidential information, a police team led by Mohammad Khorshed Alam, Inspector of the Gopalganj Narcotics Control Directorate, conducted a raid at Rabia Akter’s residence on Wednesday at around 12:30 p.m. During the operation, 105 yaba tablets were recovered, and she was apprehended.
Rabia Akter was found in possession of yaba tablets for the purpose of sale, violating Section 9(1)(b) of the Narcotics Control Act of 2018. A case has been filed against her at Muksudpur Police Station under Section 36(1), Table Serial No. 10(a) of the same act, which prescribes punishment for such offenses.
