Former Chief Justice of the Bangladesh Supreme Court, ABM Khairul Haque, has been officially shown arrested in a case filed with Fatullah Police Station in Narayanganj. The case was filed over allegations of delivering an unlawful verdict and producing a forged judgment that led to the abolition of the caretaker government system on Tuesday.

Justice ABM Khairul Haque appeared virtually from jail for a hearing at the court of Senior Judicial Magistrate Md. Moin Uddin Kadir in Narayanganj. Following the hearing, the court granted the plea to show him arrested in the case.

According to Inspector Md. Kaiyum Khan of the Narayanganj District Court Police, the case was filed on August 25 of last year by former President of the Narayanganj District Bar Association, Md.
