July Martyrs' Day observed in Natore, reception to martyrs' families

On the occasion of the second anniversary of the Natore uprising, the district administration paid tribute to the July martyrs, welcomed their families and organized a discussion meeting.
On Wednesday morning, Deputy Commissioner Asma Shaheen laid wreaths at the July Memorial at the Bhawaniganj intersection of the city. Officials and employees of various government departments and various political parties also paid tribute to the martyrs by laying wreaths.
Later, a reception and discussion meeting was held for the families of July martyrs and July warriors at the District Council Auditorium.
Speakers at the reception said that those whose lives were in exchange for the country's second independence from fascism should be given due respect, regardless of party affiliation. All the opportunities and facilities promised to them should be ensured 100 percent.
Present at the event were Deputy Commissioner Asma Shaheen, Superintendent of Police Shariful Haque, District BNP Convener Rahim Newaz and Member Secretary Asaduzzaman Asad, District Jamaat Ameer Dr. Mir Nurul Islam and Nayeb Ameer Shaheed Aqib's father Principal Delwar Hossain Khan, leaders and activists of various political parties, officials of various government departments, and July martyr families and July fighters.
