Kalaroa's 'Deyara-Trimohani Bridge' being  Implemented at initiative of MP Izzat Ullah

Asaduzzaman Faruque, Kalaroa ( Satkhira)

The administrative process of constructing the much-desired 'Deyara-Trimohani Bridge' on the border of Kalaroa and Keshabpur upazilas, the border junction of Satkhira and Jashore  districts, has officially gained momentum. In view of the strong initiative and public interest appeal of local MP Muhammad Izzat Ullah, the Prime Minister's Office has directed the Local Government Division to take necessary measures to construct the bridge.

According to the letter, MP Muhammad Izzat Ullah submitted a semi-official letter (D.O. No.: 105-Satkhira-1/2026/(48)) to the Prime Minister on August 31, highlighting the rationale for constructing a bridge in the Dewara-Trimohani area to improve the overall communication system of Kalaroa Upazila and alleviate long-standing public suffering. Realizing the importance of the MP's request, this step was taken quickly by the Prime Minister's Office. In continuation of this, on September 17, a letter signed by Member Secretary and Protocol Officer-1 Md. Ujjal Hossain of the 'Honorable Members of Parliament's Promised and Expected Program Implementation Coordination Cell' of the Prime Minister's Office was issued, directing to take necessary measures. In the letter, a request was made to the Secretary of the Local Government Division to take further necessary administrative measures as per the DO letter for the construction of Kalaroa Trimohani Bridge and to send a progress report of the activities taken in this regard to the office.

A copy of the letter has been sent to the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, Chief Engineer of LGED, Secretaries of the concerned ministries and Member of Parliament Muhammad Izzat Ullah for information and prompt implementation.

The construction of the Deyara-Trimohani Bridge, located at the junction of Kalaroa in Satkhira and Keshabpur upazila in Jessore, will end the long-standing suffering of thousands of people in the two regions. In times of emergency, rapid travel to hospitals, access to advanced medical services, resolution of legal or administrative crises, and business and trade exchanges will become easier and more time-saving.

The people of Kalaroa and Keshabpur regions are in a festive mood as the construction of the dream Trimohani Bridge is being paved due to the effective steps taken by Member of Parliament Muhammad Izzat Ullah. According to the locals, if the bridge is built, it will bring a new revolution in the agricultural and economic sectors in this neglected border region.
