Plantation, saplings distribution by Binoybashi Shilpi Gosthi

A plantation and tree distribution program was organized by Binoybashi Shilpi Gosthi, a folk cultural organization, in Boalkhali, Chattogram, with the aim of environmental conservation, greening and increasing public awareness.
The program was organized on Saturday at 10 am at the Boalkhali Sunshine Academy premises located in the Churakhali area of Ward No. 3 of Boalkhali Municipality.
As part of the program, saplings of various species of fruit, forest and medicinal trees were planted in the school premises. At the same time, saplings of various species of trees were distributed among the students. Through this, initiatives were taken to create awareness among the students about tree plantation and environmental conservation and to increase their responsibility towards nature.
Present on the occasion were Binoybanshi Shilpi Gosthi founder, executive director and general secretary, artist, organizer and journalist Biplab Jaladas, joint general secretary Bakul Barua, organizing secretary Mohammad Yusup, joint finance secretary Mahfuz Rocky, well-wisher of the organization Ujjwal Shukla Das, general member and writer Chatta Riaz Chowdhury. In addition, school headmaster Shamshun Nahar, senior teacher Shahida Akhter, Farhana Sharmin, along with teachers and students of the school were present.
Speakers at the event said, “Trees are an integral part of our lives and nature. There is no alternative to massive tree plantation to maintain the balance of the environment, combat the adverse effects of climate change and build a habitable world for future generations. Therefore, everyone should plant at least one tree and take proper care of it.”
