Plantation campaign, fair inaugurated by State Minister Monzur in Pirojpur

The district administration of Pirojpur and the Social Forest Department of Bagerhat have jointly inaugurated the Tree Plantation Campaign and Tree Fair 2026 under the slogan "Let us adorn the country with tree plantation, Bangladesh comes first."
The inaugural ceremony commenced with a colorful procession starting from the Sadar Upazila Parishad premises and culminating at the Pirojpur Government High School ground on Friday . Dignitaries formally opened the event by releasing balloons and festoons, followed by a ribbon-cutting tour of the fair's stalls, a tree-planting session, and a discussion meeting.
State Minister for Housing and Public Works Ahmed Sohel Monzur attended the event as the chief guest. Pirojpur-1 MP Masud Saidi, reserved seat MP Sultana Jesmin, and Police Superintendent Mohammad Monjur Ahmed Siddique attended as special guests.
Md. Shahin Kabir, Divisional Forest Officer of the Social Forest Department in Bagerhat, delivered the welcome address, while Deputy Commissioner Abu Sayed presided over the meeting.
Leaders from various political parties, government and non-governmental officials, journalists, educators, students, and citizens from diverse professions participated in the event.
