
Satkhira Press Club members visit Martyr Asif Hasan’s grave

Members of Satkhira Press Club visited the grave of martyr Asif Hasan on Tuesday (August 5) afternoon at the family graveyard in Askarpur village of Debhata upazila in Satkhira.
The prayer ceremony was led by Satkhira Press Club General Secretary Md. Abdul Bari.
Present at the event were martyr Asif’s father Mahmud Alam, Asif’s twin brother Rakib Hasan, former General Secretary of the Press Club Mostafizur Rahman Ujjal, Literary, Cultural and Sports Secretary of the Executive Committee S.K. Kamrul Hasan, committee members Abdul Gafur Sardar, Aktaruzzaman Bacchu, Amiruzzaman Babu, member Abdul Alim, Shah Jahan Ali Miton and others.
During the grave visit, prayers were offered for the forgiveness of the souls of all martyrs killed in the July Movement and for the recovery of the injured.
In addition, on behalf of the Press Club, gifts were presented to martyr Asif’s father.
It is to be noted that during the anti-discrimination movement, on July 18, 2024, Asif Hasan was shot dead in Uttara, Dhaka. Asif Hasan and his twin brother Rakib Hasan were born on August 5, 2003, in Askarpur village of Debhata upazila.
Asif was studying at Northern University, Dhaka. He was a second-year undergraduate student in the English department.
