Abdul Halim, OC of Mirsarai Zorarganj Police Station in Chittagong, has been selected as the best OC of Chittagong district. He was elected yesterday morning.
He received the Best OC award from District Police Masud Khan at the Chittagong District Superintendent of Police's office.
Police operations have arrested 723 suspects in the last six months. During this time, 128,898 yaba pills, 437 kg of marijuana, 1,096 liters of domestically produced liquor and 167 bottles of foreign liquor have been recovered. 108 cases have been filed in connection with the recovery of narcotics. Police have arrested 126 drug dealers in these cases. At the same time, a large amount of goods have been recovered in theft, robbery and smuggling cases, two armed persons with weapons have been arrested and six absconding accused in four murder cases have been arrested, the police said.

The estimated value of the recovered raw materials is Tk 4.5 million. The estimated value of 48,995 kg of acid oil and crude glycerin in two tanker trucks is Tk 5 million. In addition, the value of 301 sacks of urea fertilizer in two trucks is estimated at Tk 3.76 million.
During the same period, police reported the arrest of 192 juvenile gang members. Of these, 97 were released on bond and 95 were produced before the court. The police report mentions this as part of a total of 723 arrests.
