
Agricultural ‘Partner Congress’ held in Kapasia

A Partner Congress has been held in Kapasia, Gazipur to ensure good agricultural practices by creating agricultural entrepreneurs.
The day-long congress was organized by the Department of Agricultural Extension and the ‘Program on Agriculture and Rural Transformation for Nutrition, Entrepreneurship and Resilience in Bangladesh (Partner)’ with the participation of various professionals at the Upazila Parishad Hallroom at 10:30 am on Tuesday.
Kapasia UNO Tamanna Tasneem presided over the event, and Gazipur District Agricultural Extension Department Deputy Director Md. Rafiqul Islam Khan, Agriculture Officer Suman Kumar Basak, Cooperative Officer Sirajul Islam, Additional Agriculture Officer Syed Shakil Ahmed, Youth Development Officer Ejaz Mia, among others, spoke as the chief guests.
Speakers at the event said that there is a need to increase agricultural production using modern technology, produce nutritious food and adapt agricultural practices to climate change. Along with this, it is necessary to improve the marketing system of agricultural products and ensure fair market prices.
Other programs in the day-long congress included training, exchange of views and question and answer sessions. More than a hundred farmers, NGO representatives, journalists and local dignitaries participated in the congress.
