AL president, former councilor arrested. In Hatiya

Police have arrested Ward Awami League President and former councilor Ahsan on charges of attempted sabotage in Hatia, Noakhali.
He was arrested at the Ochkhali intersection in the upazila headquarters on Sunday afternoon.
Arrested Ahsan Uddin is the son of Nur Islam of South Bejugalia village, Ward No. 4 of Hatia Municipality. He has been serving as the president of the Awami League in the same ward. He is a former councilor of this ward.
Police said that based on a secret tip-off, Hatia police conducted a raid in the upazila headquarters. They were holding a meeting with Awami League terrorists to create havoc around August 5. In this situation, Ahsan was arrested, but the rest fled. There are multiple cases against him in the police station.
Hatia Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) AKM Ajmal Huda said, "The detained Ahsan is accused of involvement in sabotage. He will be sent to Kot Jail tomorrow in a sabotage case."
