Aman paddy seeds, fruit saplings distributed among farmers in Tungipara

At the initiative of the Department of Agricultural Extension, free Aman paddy seeds and fertilizers have been distributed among 200 farmers in Tungipara.
Each farmer received 5 kg of high-yielding Aman seeds, 10 kg of DAP fertilizer, and 10 kg of MOP fertilizer.
The distribution program was inaugurated on Monday afternoon at the Upazila Parishad premises by UNO Farzana Akter. Upazila Agriculture Officer Rakibul Islam, Fisheries Officer Dibashish Bachhar, and other officials were also present.
As part of the fruit and forest sapling distribution program, coconut, lemon, mango, palmyra palm, neem, jamun, and jackfruit saplings, along with vegetable seeds, will be distributed among 1,000 farming families in phases.
UNO Farzana Akter said, “This support has been provided as part of the government's agriculture-friendly policy, which will reduce production costs and positively impact agricultural output.”
Farmers have expressed their satisfaction and gratitude for the assistance.
