Ansar-VDP DG speaks on force's role during peace, war at DSCSC

Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud, SGP, BAM, NDU, AFWC, PSC, Director General of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (VDP), delivered a key presentation titled "The Role of Ansar-VDP in Peace and War" to officers participating in the ongoing course at the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) in Mirpur Cantonment on Tuesday.
A total of 353 officials, including officers from the Bangladesh Army, Navy, Air Force, Ansar-VDP, and Bangladesh Police, attended the event.
During his presentation, the Director General highlighted the glorious history of the Ansar and VDP, the extraordinary contributions of its members during the Language Movement and the Great Liberation War, and the force's continuous role in national security and public welfare in the post-independence era.
The DG also noted Bangladesh Ansar and VDP has long been executing its duties with skill, dedication, and professionalism across various vital national activities. These include maintaining law and order, ensuring public safety, guarding critical government and strategic installations, preserving state assets, managing disasters, performing election-time duties, and securing social etc.
An open question-and-answer session followed the lecture, during which the Director General addressed various queries from domestic and international participating officers.
