BNP holds protest rally over attack on BNP, Swechchhasebak Dal leaders in Gaibandha

A protest rally was held in Gaibandha on Wednesday against what BNP leaders described as a disgraceful attack carried out by Jamaat-Shibir activists with the intention of killing leaders of the BNP and Jatiyatabadi Swechchhasebak Dal in Palashbari Upazila.
The protest rally was organized by the Gaibandha District BNP in front of the party office.
The rally was presided over by Shahiduzzaman Shahid, Vice-President of Gaibandha District BNP and President of the Municipal BNP. Among those who addressed the gathering were Advocate Manjur Morshed Babu, Organizational Secretary of the District BNP; Anisur Rahman Nadim; former General Secretary Kamrul Hasan Selim; Mosharraf Hossain Babu, President of Sadar Upazila BNP; General Secretary Mokchedur Rahman Mokchud; Abdus Salam, Member Secretary of Sadullapur Upazila BNP; Mahmudul Hasan, Member Secretary of Sundarganj Upazila BNP; Ragib Hasan Chowdhury, President of the District Jubo Dal; General Secretary Abdur Razzaque Bhuttu; Shahjalal Sarkar Khokon, Convener of the District Swechchhasebak Dal; Sahiduzzaman Sarkar Shahin, Convener of the District Chhatra Dal; Member Secretary Walid Shakil, and others.
The speakers condemned the alleged sudden and brutal attack by Jamaat-Shibir activists on Palashbari Upazila BNP President Abdus Samad Mondal, District Swechchhasebak Dal member Millat Sarkar Milon, and Palashbari Municipal Swechchhasebak Dal Convener Shamim Reza.
