BNP pro-people party despite propaganda, conspiracies : Sohel

BNP Central Committee’s Joint Secretary General Habib-Un-Nabi Sohel said that despite all the past propaganda and various conspiracies, BNP is a pro-people party. BNP is the party of the people. BNP believes in the power of the people, in votes, and in democracy.
He said this as the chief guest in his speech on Wednesday afternoon at the inaugural ceremony of BNP’s primary membership and new member enrollment program at the municipal and upazila level held at Kalema Chattar Press Club Road in Dohar upazila of Dhaka.
He further said that today new anarchy and chaos are being created in the country through mob justice, and slander is being spread in the name of BNP. To stop all those propaganda and conspiracies, whoever in BNP has had allegations taken to the party’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, once proven, they are being expelled. At this time, he recognized Dhaka District BNP President Khandaker Abu Ashfaq as an experienced leader of the party.
In a speech as special guest, Dhaka District BNP President Khandaker Abu Ashfaq said, the example of good governance during the rule of BNP’s founder martyred President Ziaur Rahman is still on the lips of the people of Bengal. Awami League is a fascist party. You know how the leaders of this party fled the country and took refuge in India. But those who today speak of Islam and spread propaganda in the name of BNP, to them I give a warning – in the movement of ‘24, most of those who were martyred were BNP’s activist forces. In that movement, 142 Chhatra Dal activists and 23 BNP activists were martyred.
The primary membership renewal and new member enrollment program organized by Dohar Upazila BNP was presided over by Upazila BNP President Nazrul Islam Mesher.
The event was conducted and moderated by Municipal BNP President S.M. Kuddus. Also speaking were Nawabganj Upazila BNP General Secretary Khandaker Abul Kalam, Upazila BNP senior leader Md. Nurul Islam Bepari, Upazila BNP General Secretary Masud Parvez, Organizing Secretaries Asir Uddin Bacchu Khan and Sentu Bhuiyan, Dhaka District Jubo Dal Senior Vice President Abul Hashem Bepari and others.
