OMS dealers selected thru' open lottery in Dimla

An open lottery was held for the selection of food grain sales (OMS) dealers in the open market of Dimla, Nilphamari.
This open lottery was held on Wednesday afternoon at the Upazila Parishad Hallroom organized by the Upazila Administration and Food Department.
With UNO Imranuzzaman in the chair, Agriculture Officer Mir Hasan Banna, Primary Education Officer Birendranath Roy, Social Service Officer (A:D:) Wasim Islam, Food Controller Shahin Rana, Officer-in-Charge of Food Warehouse (OCLSD) Nawab, Sadar Union Parishad Panel Chairman Abu Taleb, applicants, journalists were present. In the lottery, Mizanur Rahman Sabuj out of 10 applicants for Shutibari intersection, Tayyab Ali out of 3 applicants for Bijoy Chattar, and 1 applicant for Islamia College intersection, freedom fighter Abul Kashem, was selected.
According to the Upazila Food Department, 17 people applied for 3 dealerships. Out of which, 3 applications were rejected after scrutiny. Out of 14 valid applicants, 3 were selected through an open lottery.
