Boalkhali Municipality announces Tk 28 cr budget

Boalkhali Municipality has announced a budget of Tk 28,08,24,922 for 2025-26 financial year
The budget was announced on Monday noon.
The budget included revenue fund Tk 5,08,24,922 and government grant, Tk 23,00,00,000.
Boalkhali Municipality Administrator and Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land ) Kaniz Fatema presided over the budget ceremony, and Boalkhali UNO Mohammad Rahmat Ullah was present as the chief guest.
The members of the municipality's support committee were present.
Boalkhali Police Station OC Golam Sarwar, Upazila Engineer Rezaul Karim, Social Service Officer Delwar Hossain, Youth Development Officer Mohammad Mamun, Upazila Education Officer Harunur Rashid, Municipal Executive Officer Md. Nazrul Islam, Assistant Engineer Mrinal Kanti Dhar, Deputy Assistant Engineer Md. Kamruzzaman, Accountant Mojibur Rahman, municipal officials, journalists and leaders of various professional organizations were present.
Boalkhali UNO Mohammad Rahmat Ullah said that in order to reduce the suffering of the people and deliver the desired citizen services, budget formulation based on a specific plan is essential. He also emphasized on maintaining transparency and accountability in budget implementation.
The UNO called for ensuring public consultation and participation and said that the service sector should be given priority by considering the opinions of the people.
