Global Handwashing Day celebration in Barishal

On the occasion of Global Handwashing Day 2024, a rally and discussion meeting was held in the meeting room of the Deputy Commissioner's office organized by the District Administration and Public Health Engineering Directorate Barishal at 10 am on Tuesday with the slogan 'Clean hands are always important in health protection ', and hand washing techniques were taught.
Deputy Commissioner of Barishal Mohammad Delwar Hossain was the chief guest on the occasion.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Barishal Lusikant Hajong presided over the function.
Executive Engineer of Directorate of Public Health Engineering Barisal Division Md Imran Tarafdar, District Primary Education Officer Barisal Md Akhtaruzzaman, District Relief and Rehabilitation Officer Ranjit Kumar Sarkar and representatives of various development organizations were present. In the beginning, Deputy Commissioner Barisal Mohammad Delwar Hossain inaugurated the rally and discussion meeting by blowing a balloon festoon from the premises of the Deputy Commissioner's office. From there, the rally went around various important roads and ended at the office of the Deputy Commissioner.
Later hand washing techniques were taught in collaboration with Saint Bangladesh. In the discussion meeting, the guests discussed the importance of Global Handwashing Day.
