Human chain demanding justice for Abul Bashar's murder in Rajapur

A human chain and protest march were held in Rajapur, Jhalakathi, to protest the murder of construction worker Abul Bashar Howlader.
The program was organized by the locals at the Rajapur Press Club premises on Wednesday at 10 am. The family of the deceased Abul Bashar, along with local people from different classes and professions, participated in the human chain.
The deceased Abul Bashar's wife Asma Begum, mother Monowara Begum and his school-going son Aminul Islam, among others, spoke at the human chain. The speakers said that Abul Bashar was brutally hacked to death for not paying the ransom. They demanded exemplary peace from the mastermind of the murder, Nazmul Hasan, and those involved.
Last Sunday evening, construction worker Abul Bashar was hacked to death in the Dakshin Southpur area of the upazila.
Rajapur Police Station OC Ismail Hossain said that the main accused in the murder, Nazmul Hasan, has been arrested and efforts are underway to arrest the other accused.
