
Injuries found, Identities unknown Two dead bodies found beside highway in N'ganj

Highway police have recovered the dead bodies of two unidentified young men from two separate locations in Sonargaon upazila of Narayanganj district. On Wednesday (May 21), police from the Kanchpur Highway Police Station recovered the bodies and sent them to Narayanganj General (Victoria) Hospital morgue for autopsy. The deceased are estimated to be between 32 and 35 years old and bore visible signs of injury on their bodies.
Inspector Wahid Morshed, Officer-in-Charge of Kanchpur Highway Police Station, stated that the bodies were recovered from the roadside of the Dhaka–Chattogram Highway—one from the Lalatibaz Stand area of Kanchpur Union and the other from Ashadiar Char in Pirojpur Union.
The bodies were brought to the Highway Police Station. Their identities could not be confirmed immediately. The bodies have been sent for autopsy, and the actual cause of death will be determined after the post-mortem examination.
The OC added that police are working to identify the bodies and that the matter is under investigation. Given the signs of injury, the initial assumption is that they were murdered.
