Certificates, awards distributed among meritorious students in Nachol

Some 24 meritorious students were honoured with awards and certificates at Nachol in Chapainawabganj on Wednesday. 
 
Organized by the Upazila Secondary Education Office and the District Secondary Education Office under the Secondary Education Development Program (SEDP) of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education and the Ministry of Education, 24 students were awarded certificates and honours.
 
 The event took place at the Upazila Hall Room, presided over by Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Sultana Razia.
 
 The chief guest, Prof Md. Asaduzzaman, Director of Secondary and Higher Education, Rajshahi Region, delivered  speech.
 
 Special guests were  Alamgir Uddin, Assistant Director of Secondary and Higher Education, Rajshahi Region; Abdul Matin, District Education Officer; and Prof Sharifull Islam, retired Principal of Nachol Government College. 
 
Heads of various educational institutions and guardians of the students were also present. Based on their achievements in the SSC examination, 12 students were awarded 10,000 taka each, and 12 HSC-level students received 25,000 taka each. During the event, the chief speaker, Professor Md. Asaduzzaman, said, "Today's students will lead in the future. Those who received awards today are not only a pride for themselves but also for their families, institutions, and society." He added that such government initiatives inspire students to excel in their studies.
 
The welcome address was delivered by Upazila Secondary Education Officer Dulal Uddin Khan. The event was moderated by Rural Development Officer Harun Ar Rashid.
