Jamaat-e-Islami's Rukon Confce held in Nilphamari

The six-monthly members' conference (Rukon) of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Nilphamari Town Unit was held on Thursday morning in the hall of the district Jamaat office under the chairmanship of city Ameer Professor Anwarul Islam.
Maulana Momtaz Uddin, Assistant Director of Rangpur-Dinajpur region of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, spoke as the chief guest.
District Jamaat Ameer and Nilphamari-1 MP Adhya Maulana Abdus Sattar, District Secretary Maulana Antazul Islam and Nilphamari-2 MP Adv Alfaruk Abdul Latif spoke as special guests. Among others, District Jamaat Working Committee members and Nilphamari Municipality Mayoral candidate Muktijoddha Moniruzzaman Montu and Touhidur Rahman were present.
In his speech as the chief guest, Principal Maulana Momtaz Uddin said that the nation expected a beautiful, free and democratic environment after the elections but that hope has been dashed. The current government is also following the path that the previous fascist government had walked.
