The Jamalpur District BNP conference was held on Saturday after nine consecutive years in a festive atmosphere.
The chief guest at the conference held in front of Lewis Village was BNP Standing Committee member Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku.
The conference was presided over by District BNP President Faridul Kabir Talukder Shamim. The inaugural speech was delivered by BNP Joint General Secretary Habib Un Nabi Khan Sohel, moderated by General Secretary Ed. Shah Md. Wares Ali Mamun.
Among others who spoke were BNP Joint Secretary General Syed Emran Saleh Prince, Treasurer M Rashiduzzaman Millat, Organizing Secretary Md. Shariful Alam, Abu Wahab Akand and other leaders.
The district BNP's 12-member committee was announced at the conference. Faridul Kabir Talukder Shamim was nominated as the president and Adv. Shah Md. Wares Ali Mamun as the general secretary.
The other members of the committee are - Senior Vice President Lokman Ahmed Lotan, Vice President Shamim Ahmed, Shahidul Haque Khan Dulal, Liaquat Ali, Senior Joint Secretary Secretary Khandaker Asaduzzaman Rumel, Joint General Secretary Sajjad Hossain Paltan, Mustafizur Rahman Arman, Organizing Secretary 1. Firoz Mia, Shafiqul Islam Khan Sajib, Arif Hossain Khan Bahaz.The names of the rest of the committee members will be announced later.
